Position Description

  • The Product Integration Lead is the ‘technical right hand’ of the Engineering Program Manager. In this customer-facing role, the successful candidate will guide the product development team to the realization of the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system for a global vehicle application. The scope of responsibility spans the entire product development lifecycle from elicitation of customer requirements, through design, development, verification/validation approval, customer acceptance, and production.

Position Requirements

  • Manage product scope by ensuring all customer requirements are understood and evaluated for compliance.

  • Obtain customer agreement on product delivery content and schedule with customer for all phases of the project.

  • Provide technical leadership by managing expectations between design capabilities and customer requirements.

  • Lead team efforts to resolve issues and close gaps against customer and internal ZF requirements.

  • Prepare and host periodic customer status reviews for system capability to product performance targets during development cycle

  • Frequent local travel to and from customer engineering center and assembly plant

  • Infrequent global travel to and from ZF and customer engineering centers and assembly plants

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

  • Minimum, 5 years relevant experience

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at single time

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Product lifecycle management knowledge.

  • Experience with PTC Windchill and / or PTC Integrity.

  • Six Sigma, Red X, or equivalent certification.

  • Knowledge of automotive electrical and chassis systems and vehicle dynamics
