Job Description

In-vehicle infotainment is a fast-growing technology in the global automotive industry featuring many cutting-edge technologies such as HD displays, cameras, GPS, WIFI, Bluetooth, Ethernet, USB 3.x, digital/analog audio interfaces and more. We are looking for creative and enthusiastic candidates to become part of a fast-moving team who want to lead the future direction of the automotive industry. The Advanced Infotainment Hardware team’s mission is to ensure our infotainment products are designed to target the growing needs of our customers while ensuring robust, well-designed hardware which meets GM specifications and testing requirements from early hardware through the production design. In this role you will be responsible for leading product development and integration activities. Responsibilities include utilizing engineering tools and processes to successfully develop components and systems for vehicle programs. You'll effectively achieve program milestones by thorough and effective program management. You will coach and lead suppliers to timely execution of program work with excellence.


  • Lead designs for AM/FM, XM, and DAB.

  • Lead the tuner ICs design and peripherals.

  • Support BT/WiFi “modules” design work.

  • Keep the RF requirements optimized and up to date with the latest technology/market trend.

  • Optimize five-point parametric tests and finalize RF end of line production tests.

  • Continue the design support and troubleshooting for current model products and issues.

  • Improve development cycles for robust product design.

  • Lead BT/WiFi internal antenna packaging work.

  • Apply cost effective solutions with improved performance design

  • Support Milford validation team.

  • Refine/optimize requirements with MPG team

  • Support DAB validation setup development at MPG.

Additional Job Description


  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Required. Masters degree preferred.

  • 5 years working experience in automotive hardware electronics design

  • Previous industry experience with infotainment, telematics or connectivity

  • Understanding of radio tuner design, AM/FM/XM/DAB with RF experience and ability to use, measure, and optimize Automotive in-vehicle RF parametrics and performance.

  • Automotive Communication Buses (CAN, LIN,etc…)

  • Professional experience creating analog HW interfaces
