General Electric Sr Technical Project Manager in Van Buren Township, Michigan

Role Summary:

In this role you will be working in Digital Connect group. This role is responsible for driving multiple medium & small projects independently, at the same time collaborating with all other roles within an agile product development life cycle meeting organizational standards and customer needs.

  • Own small and medium sized Integration projects

  • Collaborate with GE employees and contractors to define the engagement, effort estimates, project proposals

  • Manages Integration project delivery engagement tasks, issue resolution and communication across project execution teams in order to manage the engagement successfully.

  • Develops, sells and implements comprehensive engagement plans, encompassing project team structure and resource assignment, implementation, testing and training plans, creation of a control plan identifying both business process metrics and IT platform quality requirements and ensuring successful transition to support and maintenance teams

  • Responsible for regular integration project delivery engagement status updates to all the project stakeholders

  • Learn and understand GE Digital Integration project management related processes and tools.

  • Identifies critical path decisions, makes recommendations and influences program leaders and business process owners to maximize project payback

  • Work with and assist Digital Connect PMO team to identify and implement process improvements, establish tools and standards.

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  • Interact with customers and product managers to understand customer needs and timelines

  • Apply Agile principles to translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning

  • Demonstrate practical experience in Agile Methodology to runs scrums and stand-ups to collaborate with engineering teams and support them with scope considerations, product requirements

  • Demonstrate increasing understanding of product and project management

  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of software development life cycles to collaborate with Quality Engineering and Build and Release teams

  • Ensure that intermediate and major features releases meet quality standards and functional requirements

  • Work with fellow team members and provides subject matter expertise to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions during User Acceptance Testing as well as after the product is deployed in Production

  • Show increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product

  • Demonstrate awareness of Industrial trends and domain expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Information Technology OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in Information TechnologyEligibility Requirements: (Country Specific)

  • Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations

  • Experience in using the Jira or Rally tool to manage requirements processes

  • Have a solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure needed to run a large distributed web application
