Quality Improvement RN Req #: 30107657 Category: Nursing Facility: Beaumont Hospital Trenton Department: Quality Mgmt Patient Safety Schedule: Full time Shift: Days Job Details:Job Summary:The Quality Improvement RN is a Registered Nurse who, under the direction of the Director and VP of Quality and Safety, utilizes clinical expertise to identify patient safety concerns or trends, assesses the hospital's quality of care, promotes patient safety throughout the continuum of care and leads teams to improve quality and patient safety. Also, in conjunction with the site Physician Patient Safety Officer, administration and medical staff leadership, the Quality RN coordinates a safety program that promotes a culture of safety, establishes evidence based patient safety clinical practices, and drives safe practice improvements across all clinical operating units. The Quality Improvement Nurse assists hospital leadership with creating process improvements designed to prevent future adverse occurrences and works directly with senior leadership and physician chiefs to optimize patient safety related performance improvement activities.Minimum Job Qualifications:•Education: RN Licensure, State of Michigan required. BSN or BS in related (state recognized) clinical profession required. Master's degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.•Experience: 5 years experience in patient safety activities and/or clinical quality improvement efforts required. 5 years project management experience preferred.•Licensure: Appropriate state licensure, dependent upon incumbent educational background.•Skills Abilities: Skilled in quality improvement principles and patient safety industry standards.Beaumont Health is an equal opportunity employer.
