General Dynamics Land Systems Manager Program Finance in Sterling Heights, Michigan

Position Description: Responsible for leading a team of 10 - 15 Finance professionals to successfully develop, analyze and report on the financial management of the Stryker and Specialty Wheeled Vehicles Programs with revenues of approximately $1B - $1.5B, reporting directly to the Director of Product/Process Center Finance and Financial Planning. The position also has strong matrix dotted line reporting to the LOB Vice President of Stryker and SWV Programs. The Manager will establish operational priorities for the team, monitor performance against objectives and work directly with the Program Office leadership to ensure that Stryker and SWV financial imperatives are known and attained. The Manager is responsible for all financial matters pertaining to Stryker and Specialty Wheeled Vehicles Programs, including ensuring the development of accurate program budgets and metrics, tracking contract funding issues, preparing Estimate to Completes (EAC's) in conjunction with the process centers, ensuring optimal cash management on the Stryker and SWV Programs, including forecast cash receipts and disbursement, developing Performance Based Payment Plans, In addition, the Manager would make financial recommendations supporting program's strategic direction based on the results of analysis completed by the team. The Manager is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the cost booked to, as well as the revenue recognized on, the programs. With the Stryker/SWV team, the Manager will develop the Annual Operating Plan for the Stryker/SWV programs, as well as monthly Current Estimates; Quarterly Program Estimates at completion, booking rate recommendations, contracts in Process analysis. This information is reviewed monthly by Senior Leadership, including the President, and forms the basis of corrective action to meet goals, if necessary. Position Requirements:Must have a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. Masters degree preferred. Must have exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills in order to lead a team in this dynamic contracting environment. Should have an in-depth understanding of budgeting and reporting in Oracle, as well as forecasting in Hyperion Essbase. Must understand government contracting, Earned Value Management System Internal Rate of Return, Net Present Value.
