The HR Operations Special Projects Leader provides guidance and hands on assistance through existing business process challenges and develops and implements improvements that align with our strategic way forward for HR Operations. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities and being the change agent to further our initiatives to provide a seamless HR service delivery model. The HR Operations Specials Projects leader will implement change management strategies that drive faster adoption, higher utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact our HR Operations service delivery. Provide direct support and coaching to HR Operations teams and our customers through the HR digital transformation and future changes that impact the organization. This role will take on special projects that align with our HCM strategic way forward as well as handle existing day to day projects as defined by our dynamic business landscape.Key Responsibilities:Special Strategic Projects (50%)Manage significant adhoc projects that arise due to changing business requirements or compliance landscapesLead continuous and sustainable transformation of HR operations and scale to meet the growth needs of the business.Identify opportunities to leverage existing HCM technology across the organization to improve business processesEnsure HR Services and Support meets or exceeds business demandsChange Management (25%)Facilitate HR organizational change management to enable the smooth transition from current state to the desired state - includes all activities aimed at helping the organization successfully accept and adopt new business processes, and technology.Collaborates with HR Operations Teams and Customers to identify best practices to support efficient and accurate HR processesReporting/Controls (25%)Provides oversight and audit of Master Data throughout the supporting life cycle of transactions from sourcing, hiring, onboarding, Payroll, employee movement, leave of absence, termination etc.Develop and oversee communication of HR Operations KPIs and partners with the Human Resources team to identify opportunities for improvementDevelop and implement risk management best practices and internal controls structure for HR operations in order to mitigate liability and reduce the risk of claims related to non-compliance with laws, policies and regulations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, HR, business or a related field.Five years' progressive experience in HR processes, systems, analytics/reporting, and/or other HR functions required.Ability to think conceptually, hands-on tactical capability, and the agility to flex between a big picture view and detailed executionExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong critical thinking and problem solving skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to interpret business problems and develop solutions while understanding the broad impact of those solutionsOperate well under pressure and adapt quickly to changeDemonstrated ability to be solution-orientedKnowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.Manages Complexity - making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problemsthyssenkrupp Materials NA Inc is an equal opportunity employer and committed to diversity.
