Summary:

As a Software Engineer the selected individual will work in our Research and Development department. In a small team environment, participate in a user centric collaborative process for identifying end user-needs and market opportunities. The associate will be involved in all phases of development from requirements development, design, implementation, and lightweight testing. Develop functional prototypes of sufficient quality to successfully demo for various events and conventions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Communicating key project data, status and schedule to team members and building cohesion among teams

  • Developing and executing project plans

  • Applying mathematics and statistics to problem-solving initiatives

  • Applying best practices and standard operating procedures

  • Creating innovative solutions to meet our group’s technical needs

  • Testing new software and fixing bugs

  • Shaping the future of our systems and concepts

  • Work closely with human factors engineers, hardware engineers, and other software engineers to ensure project completeness and meeting project milestones

  • Understanding of C/C++, C#, Python JavaScript, and mobile development (Android, iOS)

  • Understanding and knowledge of software development standards, algorithm and software architecture development

  • Ability to work in a fast past R&D; environment with User Centric Design deliverables

  • Flexible mindset, projects do not always follow software design processes, as due dates and milestones usually have short development cycles

  • Active participation in User Clinics and in a Researcher mode, ability to think outside the box

  • Work collaboratively to develop next generation Ux and UI for automotive Cockpit/HMI systems

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Five - eight years of embedded Software Development in Linux, Android and or mobile application development
  • QNX
  • Model base design with Matlab and Simulink
  • Middleware and communication stack development
  • C/C++ software development
  • Process/lifecycle, software model design
