div bGENERAL SUMMARY: /bThisposition provides clerical secretarial support to department staff and managers.This position reports to the department manager or director. b/bbrbESSENTIALDUTIES:/b1.span/spanUsingcomputer software (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), types,formats, enters, edits, proofreads a variety of documents as requested. 2.span/spanAnswerstelephones, screens, prioritizes, redirects call or takes messages. Answersquestions and handles routine matters on own. 3.span/spanMonitors and maintains departmentsuppliesar levels. May be asked to input requisitions in ordering system. 4.span/spanFaxes, collects, organizes, files, andelectronically scans documents. 5.span/spanMaintainsfiles of various nature (i.e.: employee, vendor) and secures confidentialinformation. 6.span/spanParticipates in department initiativesrelative to Process Improvement, Quality Assurance and Customer Serviceinitiatives and may be asked to record data for these initiatives along withdata for the annual system-wide and departmental competencies. 7.span/spanAsrequired, may be asked to provide project administrative support, type agendasor meeting minutes, or input other department data in databases. 8.span/spanPerforms other duties as assigned. ispanThisdocument represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of thisjob, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions.
