Description COVENANT HEALTHCARE US:MI:SAGINAW 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, MONDAY - FRIDAY FULL TIME BENEFITED Summary:The role of the Human Resources Consultant is to provide comprehensive Human Resource Management for the organization s Leadership and employees. This individual supports strategic organizational goals with internal and external customers through management of employee/labor relations, regulatory compliance, project management and support for operational strategies. The Human Resources Consultant demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions are at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant HealthCare and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation. Responsibilities:Analyzes, interprets and implements related employment policies and procedures, HFAP requirements, and Federal and State regulatory agencies. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of compensation, benefits, and employment information and services and works collaboratively with technicians and specialists to provide excellent customer service. Works to coordinate, implement, and measure leadership and employee development through training and feedback. Demonstrates knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing organizational functions and Human Resources operations. Provides advice and expertise in the areas of employee/labor relations (represented and non-represented employees), participates in investigation and counseling with Leadership and employees to assist in the development of Performance Improvement Plans and Corrective Action, coordinates the Alternate Dispute Resolution Process, participates in analysis for internal equity, consults with legal counsel to represent the organization. Represents Covenant in employee related litigation (unemployment, EEOC, civil lawsuits, etc.) Lead interdepartmental and cross-functional teams in the identification, development and implementation of strategic departmental initiatives. Engages in work force and operational strategic planning by facilitating and working with Leadership and work teams. Identify opportunities for process improvements. Ensure process improvement projects alignment with overall departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Collect and analyze data from HR customers (both direct and indirect) to gauge baseline performance, identify opportunities for improvement and overall effectiveness of HR solutions. Provide recommendations to management team surrounding findings. Participates in community relations events, projects, and community-based initiatives to promote the hospital and support the communities in the Tri-County area. Other information:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. Professional Human Resources Certification preferred. Masters Degree Preferred. 3 years recent Human Resource Generalist experience. Health Care background preferred. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Strong knowledge of current employment law and demonstrated recent experience. Demonstrates knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing organizational functions and Human Resource operations. Project a positive, enthusiastic and energetic image. Ability to research, analyze and interpret data, and identify and problem solve issues by proposing courses of action.
