div divdivbGENERAL SUMMARY: /bLead and facilitate cross-functional quality improvement teams using Kaizen, DMAIC, and Lean methods. Apply Kaizen, DMAIC, and Lean tools to identify and implement sustained solutions. Identify and manage resources required to successfully execute projects. Communicate team progress to Project Sponsors, Organizational Leaders, and Director. Educate, coach, and mentor team members on Kaizen, DMAIC, and Lean philosophy, tools, and application. Identify potential quality improvement projects. Serve as an ambassador for organization's transformation to a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement. bESSENTIAL DUTIES: /bulliLeads strategic quality improvement efforts as directed by hospital leadership. liliUtilizes Kaizen, DMAIC, Lean tools to improve clinical quality, improve operational effectiveness, and/or make jobs easier. liliGeneral direction from the core process managers, accountable to ensure appropriate progress on assigned projects. liliProviders direction to support staff in project and activities. Accountable for developing and maintaining professional relationships with further Quality Improvement implementation and integration. liliClearly establish and communicate team performance standards and expectations. Plan and facilitate meetings to generate ideas and make key decisions. liliLeverage the unique talents of each team member to achieve project goals. liliDevelop and monitor project plans and project timelines, ensuring team completes all project deliverables. liliMaintain concise, yet complete documentation of project progress, decisions and process improvements. liliFacilitate the design and implementation of pilot(s) for improvement strategies. liliDevelop and coordinate data collection, data analysis, trending and reporting to identify process performance and critical input variables. Perform data analysis using appropriate statistical, graphical, or qualitative techniques. liliPresent data analysis to team members in a concise, clear fashion. Develop and present concise, and impactful Project Report Outs when requested. This process includes coaching and prepping team members. Provide face-to-face updates to project sponsors no less than once per month. liliEmploy various approaches and tools to mobilize commitment and overcome resistance to change. liliDevelop ad hoc process expertise in new project areas by gaining understanding of people, material, and information flow. liliFacilitate the use of tools to eliminate non-value-added work. liliProvide regular updates to the Director, Operational Improvement on projects, financial benefit calculations, and self-development. liliCommunicate any requests for services outside project work. liliEducate project team members on fundamental Kaizen, DMAIC, and Lean concepts. liliIdentify potential project translation opportunities and communicate opportunities do Director, Operational Improvement./li/ulbSTANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:/bBachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare/nursing administration, nursing, industrial engineering, industrial/organizational psychology organizational development, or related field required. Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare/Nursing Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
