The Graduate Nurse plays a key role in the delivery of caring, competent patient care in conjunction with a mentoring Registered Nurse. Will perform assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner, formulate a goal directed plan of care and implement delegated interdependent and independent direct care activities based on skills learning and clinical training, assessment findings and evaluation of any previous interventions. Collaborates with mentoring RN on the nursing process, supporting documentation and other items as appropriate. It is expected that Graduate Nurses will successfully obtain certification/licensure from the State of Michigan and transition into a Registered Nurse role within 120 days.

Basic Qualifications:

Education - Must be in last semester of an approved Nursing certification program, successfully graduating by semester's end

Licenses -

Registered Nurse (RN) State of Michigan 120 Days

Basic Life Support (BLS) Note used for BLS,CPR & BCLS) Based on specific entity and department as appropriate
