Accountemps has partnered with a company in the Manufacturing field, to fill an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will have the opportunity to become an integral part of an International Company. Located in Novi, Michigan, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time opening. This department offers prospects of career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

What you get to do every day as the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

• Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

• Perform special projects as assigned

• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

• Operate full-cycle A/P

• Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

• Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• Excellent attention to detail

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Experience with Process Vendor Invoices

• General familiarity with Process Expense Reports

• Good understanding of Invoice Processing

• Command of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Enter Invoices experience highly preferred

• Background working with Enter Invoices

• Earlier work involving Code Invoices

• Microsoft Excel experience highly valued

• Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• SAP experience desired

• Demonstrated knowledge of Non-po

• Previous experience working with Microsoft Excel

• Practical knowledge of Enter Invoices

• Enter Vendor Invoices experience

• Adeptness in Enter Vendor Invoices
