Acadia Healthcare Driver/ Maintenance (Contingent) in New Baltimore, Michigan
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs manual labor and semi-skilled work in the maintenance of HOH facility, Outpatient facility and grounds which include but are not limited to construction and repair of electrical, mechanical, masonry, carpentry; the coordination and preventive maintenance.
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis
Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and closets; installs window blinds.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal and landscaping, as required.
Report on safety issues and the need for maintenance repairs to Facilities Director.
Operate company owned vehicles to transport patients according to established schedules. Operate vehicle for special projects as needed.
Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
Maintains order in the vehicle. Report any behavioral or disciplinary problems to supervisor.
Maintains a pleasant and friendly environment for passengers.
Complete report log to provide information on times vehicle is operated, miles driven, number of passengers and other data requested by supervisor.
Perform operational inspection of vehicle to include tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water, and interior; perform simple routine maintenance and reports; report any problems to supervisor; sweep and clean vehicle.
Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures.
Maintains patient information in confidential manner.
Attends hospital orientation, staff meetings and keeps all yearly mandatories up-to-date as required by HOH.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree preferred.
Previous one (1) year experience is preferred
Valid Chauffeur’s Driver’s License with a clean record.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drywall repair, tool use/care and grounds keeping.
Availability for possible after hours calls for emergency repairs.
Schedule flexibility a must.
Ability to work independently and without constant direction.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Be able to maintain a professional appearance and attitude when dealing with patients and co-workers.
