UPPCO seeks a Line Electrician in Munising, Michigan. In this role, you construct, operate, maintain and dismantle components of all voltages of distribution and transmission lines.COMPENSATION/BENEFITS. $42.32 per hour along with a comprehensive benefit package.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL.ulliMust have completed a four-year accredited or certified line electrician apprentice program and/or attained Journeyman line electrician status./liliCDL Class A or ability to obtain/maintain a valid Class A commercial driverrsquo;s license with air brake endorsements within 4 months of hire./liliOperate heavy equipment such as tracked vehicles, trenchers and backhoes./liliPossess thorough knowledge of all phases of electric distribution and transmission work procedures and safety rules, electric distribution standards, applicable state electric codes and statutes, and underground facilities and their purpose./liliWillingness to be on-call, work long hours and overtime as needed./liliAbility to work outside with exposure to all types of weather conditions./liliPosition involves heavy, physical work with frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs./liliAbility to work in high areas above ground level and with high voltage equipment./liliAbility to trim trees, install meter equipment, perform streetlight work, locate underground facilities, and investigate load, voltage, and other customer complaint problems./liliParticipate in safety meetings and wear appropriate personal protective equipment./liliExcellent time management, organization and communication skills./liliA positive, motivated attitude that works well with little direct supervision./liliWillingness to travel, as required./liliMust reside within 30 minutes of jobsite./li/ulINTERESTED?
