The IT Asset Management Continual Improvement Manager will assure that ITAM related process, technologies, and policies are continually reviewed and approved upon to assure that the IT Asset Management Program is operating effectively, efficiently, and is mitigating any risk to the company through the management of IT assets including Hardware and Software. The manger will conduct annual reviews to determine the scope of work for the year and then implement changes based on the ability to mitigate risk and derive value. Two areas of focus will be to drive automation within the processes and to assure that data quality. The main focus of those focus areas are the Hardware Asset Management System (ServiceNow) and the Software Asset Management System (Snow License Manager).

Initially, this position will report to the Director of the IT Asset Management Transformation which is driving the initial change to IT asset Management process. The role long term will transition to the IT Vendor and Asset Management team within in the IT Corporate Service and Governance

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the ITAM Program, ITAM Lead, Software Asset Manager, Hardware Asset Manager, and Compliance Asset Manager, review and assess the company’s IT asset management processes, policy, standards, and technologies to assure they are operating effectively, efficiently, and are mitigating the risks that may occur from ineffective managing of IT assets. Define opportunities and prioritize findings to implement changes that will best meet the company objectives assuring that the process, are simple, address risk, and derive value for the company.

  • Leveraging a team of individuals across IT Implement the changes that are identified improvements based on the review and prioritization. Assure that standard upgrades and enhancement take place in a timely manner and meet the objectives set for in the ITAM processes and technology reviews.

  • Develop and Maintain the IT strategies around IT Asset Management. Assuring there is a recurring 3-year roadmap around the continual improvement and setting the direction of IT Asset Management as it aligns with other IT and Digital Roadmaps.

  • Leveraging Organization Change Management to assure all changes are communicated at the proper level of the IT Organization and across the company. Assure that ITAM education and training is current and reflects the process and policy of the ITAM program.

  • Develop metrics and monitor ITAM processes and technologies around implemented changes to assure that they meet their intended purpose for mitigating risk and developing value.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in an IT field such as Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or Business related preferred.

5+ years demonstrated experience building cross-organizational consensus, developing strategies to ensure ITAM maturity

5+ years implementing software enhancements and upgrades from the perspective of ITAM business users

5+ years demonstrated experience developing and implementing ITAM related process for both Hardware and Software

Understanding of core information technology concepts. Proficient with these tools: ServiceNow, SCCM, CMDB, SharePoint, SAP, Snow.

Interpersonal skills — Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix management environment (as well as external vendors and service providers)

In-depth knowledge and experience with technology asset lifecycles (digital, information, financial, and physical), best practice governance, maintenance, support, and license. Must be an expert in IT asset best practices.

Essential Functions:

Leadership role that requires the ability to create and manage teams of individuals brought together for a specific purpose through a matrix relationship.

Oversee efforts to identify risks and gaps related to IT asset management and perform remediation.

Manage the completion of process redesign, implement process changes, and provide communication and education around those changes.

Manage technology enhancements and upgrades to assure that the technology is meeting the objects set forth for the ITAM Program.

Define and develop ITAM related strategies.

Develop metrics to assure process and technology changes work as expected.

Advocate ITAM processes and communicate changes across the IT Organization and the Company as a whole

Working with teams and individuals throughout the organization in and outside the IT department.

Position will be filled at the appropriate salary grade based upon the skills, knowledge, and experience of the selected candidate.
