ProMedica Health System Support Coordinator III - Hospice - Full Time - Days in Monroe, Michigan

Only you’ll know for certain when it’s time for hospice. ProMedica Hospice provides physical, psychological and spiritual care near the end of life. The focus of hospice is to ensure the highest quality of life for a person who’s terminally ill. Services are offered by professionals for the person facing death, as well as for that person’s family and friends.

Position Summary:

The Support Coordinator for the Hospice department provides clerical support to nursing, office staff and supervisors. They are responsible for triaging incoming calls from patients, physicians and other customers, determining their urgency of call and routing calls to appropriate staff. They will greet and assist agency customers. The coordinator will maintain a safe and orderly office environment and ensure the availability of employee forms, and other office needs.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years previous clerical experience

  • Must have computer experience, Microsoft Word, software programs

  • Must type 60 wpm
