This includes organization of records pertaining to employee training and competency; document control, coordination of vendors for equipment and instrument calibration, internal audits; and quality control. Additional responsibilities include compiling and auditing technical records related to laboratory testing and preparing reports to assist management in assessing Laboratory performance./span/span/spanspanspanspan /span/span/spanspanspanspanDuties and Responsibilities:/span/span/spanullispanspanspanspanspanspanAssist QA staff to propagate and maintain pure cultures of stock microorganisms stored in liquid nitrogen; perform daily testing of diagnostic media and reagents; resolve and investigate problems with media production. Write and review standard operating procedures (SOP) for testing and quality control./span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanspanspanspanAssist QA staff with the preventive maintenance program for instrumentation and other testing equipment such as the Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification and distribution system; centrifuges; microscopes; analyzers; readers; controlled-temperature equipment; pipettes; autoclaves; biological safety cabinets and fume hoods; pH meters and electrodes; dry heat ovens; thermocyclers; and safety emergency equipment (e.g. eyewash stations and emergency showers)./span/span/span/span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspanspanspanspanspanspanspanPerform functions related to document control and record retention in support of the Bureau of Laboratory's Quality Management System./span/span/span/span/span/span/span/span/span/lilispanspanspans
