Jackson National Life Insurance Company Compliance Analyst, Insurance in Lansing, Michigan
The Compliance Analyst, Insurance is responsible for the monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure the Company’s compliance with regulatory requirements and providing support for Jackson's Compliance Programs. The Compliance Analyst, Insurance completes assigned tasks and participates in various projects as requested by management.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Performs suitability and best interest reviews on applications identified for heightened review. Makes determinations based on set parameters.
Researches and investigates concerns with accounts and/or transactions related to best interest / suitability, as well as adherence with company policy and industry regulations.
Escalates to the Sr. Compliance Consultant, Insurance or Director instances of non-compliance.
Communicates review outcomes with financial professionals and broker-dealer partners.
Researches and investigates financial professionals identified during surveillance reviews.
Performs reviews to ensure compliance with relevant financial industry regulations.
Gathers information and research and prepares responses to inquiries from internal stakeholders about regulatory requirements.
Assists in the gathering and maintenance of KPIs, metrics, and other data for compliance reporting.
Assists with maintenance of procedures.
Prepares and submits regulatory filings, under the direction of superiors.
Remains current on relevant regulatory matters.
Participates in processes and projects as requested by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to understand regulations applicable to Jackson, including state and federal regulations.
Knowledge of insurance and/or financial industry regulations.
Knowledge of annuity and insurance products, including Jackson products.
Detail-oriented, organized, thorough, and persistent.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors and colleagues.

Ability to compose letters and memorandum in a clear, concise, and thorough manner.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in a business field.
2+ years of relevant professional experience (insurance, financial services, compliance, legal, etc.) required.
FINRA Series 6/7 preferred.
