This position functions as an analyst for statewide licensing programs administered under the authority of the Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act and associated administrative rules. The individual reviews and analyzes applications for licenses in order to determine eligibility in accordance with statute, rules and department policy provisions. The individual will prepare and update procedures in accordance with statutes and rules to be used by staff in reviewing applications. The individual responds to inquiries from attorneys, legislators, law enforcement, etc., which requires in depth research and analysis.
Position Description Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Departmental Analyst 9
No specific type or amount is required.
Departmental Analyst 10
One year of professional experience.
Departmental Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
Additional Requirements and Information
Candidates with experience or education in forensic investigations, auditing, or accounting are preferred.
