Stryker is hiring a Senior Project Manager – Design to Value for a 23-month contract to be located in Kalamazoo, MI.
What you will do:
Responsible for the management and coordination of select high impact projects associated with new products and technologies across Stryker globally.
The senior project manager will work closely with product development, operations and marketing to drive speed to market, product quality and ease of manufacture.
Plan and facilitate Design to Value (DtV) workshops on assigned projects and provide systematic, organized approach to support the project team to launch a product with maximized value.
Provide support on cost analysis on product and/or components using the Value Engineering tool on assigned projects throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
All activities will be completed and documented in accordance with the Stryker new product development process utilizing associated design controls
Plan and facilitate Design to Value Workshops with cross-functional teams to enable project teams to make technical and commercial decisions based on customer/user needs.
Analyze “should cost” for product and/or components using the Value Engineering tools to help project team on identifying priority and focus area using data.
Evaluate different scenarios with the project team using the Value Engineering tools
Develop methods and programs to predict, track, and share value improvement throughout the New Production Introduction Process.
Provide training for “should cost” and Design to Value methodologies as required.
Will assist project team for selecting the best suppliers and Involve in negotiation/discussion with suppliers to achieve the best price as required.
What you will need:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
6+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business, preferred
Highly regulated industry experience, preferred
Project management, marketing, R&D and/or technical experience is a plus
Value Engineering experience, preferred
The individual should enjoy working in a dynamic & results oriented team environment where flexibility is essential.
Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Be open minded with the ability to recognize good ideas.
Demonstrated Leadership, Project Management and Engineering experience in New Product Introduction in a regulated environment would prove beneficial.
Experience leading or working with cross-functional teams.
The individual will be decisive, take ownership for their results and have the ability to influence key decision makers.
Excellent analytical skills, ability to plan, organize and implement concurrent tasks.
