Consumers Energy, the principal subsidiary of CMS Energy and headquartered in Jackson, Michigan, provides natural gas and electricity to nearly 6.8 million of Michigan's 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties./emuGeneral Summary/uAs a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician, you will perform NDT examinations and related activities such as: Radiography, Ultrasonic examinations, Visual examinations, Liquid penetrant, Magnetic particle and Acoustic Emissions testing. Projects are typically located at fossil generating plants and natural gas pipelines along with other natural gas and electric generation facilities. NDT Technicians are required to evaluate test results in accordance with nationally accepted codes and specifications.The individual will be required to work on extended out of town assignments within the state of Michigan and be willing to work significant overtime as necessary to meet job commitments. The position will require the individual to certify as an industrial radiographer and several other NDT test methods upon completion of training.
