div font class="bold"Description/font Responsible for: mara, glace, and bleach tank processing; maintaining proper brine, SO2, fruit and syrup brix, and PH levels by adding chemicals; monitoring the fruit in fiber tanks ensuring circulation, pressure and bacteria growth are within specification and all pumps and other equipment are functioning properly; operating and maintaining sugar recovery system (APV); ensuring accurate paperwork completion.and#160; brSchedule includes weekends with two (2) days off during the week.ubrbrEssential Functions/uulliMara, bleach, glace, and syrup tank processing/liliMonitor and maintain brine and SO2 levels/liliMonitor and maintain fruit and syrup brix levels/liliMonitor and maintain PH levels/liliResponsible for sugar recovery system (APV)/liliReceive product tankers; collect sample to confirm quality/liliMonitor fruit for bacteria growth/liliCheck equipment to ensure proper function/liliUnderstand the controls for: syrup, steam, water, etc/liliAccurate paperwork completion/liliMaintain and operate forklift safely at all times/liliComplete daily forklift tests/liliMaintain housekeeping in area/liliOther tasks as assigned/li/ulbruCompetencies and Certifications Required /uulliInternal GMP/HACCP/SQF Training/liliExcellent communication skills/liliGood computer skills/liliComplete work instruction/qualification sheet in allotted time frame/liliTrained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment)/liliMust pass respiratory fitness test/liliOSHA Forklift License/li/uland#160;uPhysical Demands of Job /uThe employee must be able to perform the physical demands listed below to perform this specific job functions:ulliand#160;Frequent standing and walking/liliOccasional climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting/liliOccasional lifting and/or pushingulling up to 50 pounds/li/uland#160;uWork Environment /uThe work environments listed here are representative of those that may be encountered by employee while performing the functions of this job:and#160;ulliWet or humid conditions/liliExtreme temperatures/liliExposure to brine (sulfur dioxide)/liliExposure to bleach (calcium chloride)/liliExposure to cleaning chemicals/li/ul Seneca Foods Corporation is committed to providing equal opportunity for all, through a positive and continuing affirmative action program.
