div divdivGENERAL SUMMARY: Performing and assisting the Radiologist in all aspects of neuro-vascular angiography, invasive, non-invasive, diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures. Follows Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Preparation of patient and medical supplies for each procedure assisting physician both radiographically and with surgical sterile techniques.2. Performs pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric interventional procedures and related patient care treatment.3.Interacts with nursing concerning pre and post exam orders. 4.Maintains inventory of necessary supplies for any given examination.5.Scheduling of all examinations performed in department.6. Educates the patient as to the integral part of each procedure and ensures their comfort and confidence during each exam.7.Interacts with medical staff as to the progress of their patient during and following procedure. 8.Good interpersonal skills and communication.9.Educator when working with students in our programs.10.Preparation of patient and sterile medical supplies prior to surgically sterile procedure.11.Demonstrates good working knowledge of PACS; is able to manipulate and adjust images.12.Documentation of patient medical information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Basic computer skills.13.Able to adapt to erratic changes under stressful conditions.14.Must exhibit a professional image through appearance and mannerism.15.May be assigned additional job duties at the direction of the supervisor/manager.Standard Requirements:* Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT). * Cath Lab/EP Lab requires employee to be a graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program, Associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education. * Employee must have more than 3 + years of Interventional experience. * Employee must be an expert and able to train others in the clinical skills listed within below grid per each individual department and/or site scope. * If the department is a combination of specialties, employee must be an expert in all areas that are performed. * IR requires BLS certification and active RT status upon hire, and an RT-CV or VI registration. * Cath Lab requires BLS and ACLS upon hire, Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification, and IABP certification * EP Lab requires BLS and ACLS upon hire. Registered RCIS/RCES/RT. * Basic computer skills, math skills, exceptional communication skills, and outstanding customer service skills. * Cath Lab must be on site within 30 min.
