Spectrum Health Metrics Design Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Facility: Priority Health - GRAND RAPIDS, MI Department: Ph-Advanced Analytics Category: Business Professional Classification: Full-time with Benefits (A1) The Monitoring Metrics Design Specialist will help propel performance management and analytic supported programs by utilizing data, strategic planning, and innovation to design and develop tracking and performance metrics for programs and services across Priority Health. The Monitoring Metrics Design Specialist will research and design effectiveness and efficiency performance metrics to support the tracking of medical, provider, and market segment program operations and executive performance. This person will collaborate with others to facilitate the implementation of new or improved processes that will aid the development, communication, and adoption of the created metrics. The candidate is also responsible for the maintenance, support and quality of these metrics. The Monitoring Metrics Design Specialist will be responsible for articulating strategic and operations reporting insights and recommendations into effectiveness and efficiency performance metrics in a manner that is meaningful to management. This person is expected to educate leadership on how to interpret and incorporate metrics into their daily activities. *Basic Qualifications: * Experience -2 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities experience in the design, development, and implementation of metrics including proposing numerators, denominators, timelines for measurement and recommended source data using a combination of industry standards, best practices, and clinical evidence-base. Education - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Economics, Public Health, Health Sciences, Statistics or equivalent work experience *Preferred Qualifications: * Experience - Experience in financial services operations strategy or consulting. Formal LEAN and Six Sigma training a plus, or demonstrated excellent problem solving and communication skills. Experience in reading and understand programming toolkit (SQL, SSAS, etc). Experience with concepts of data visualization and reporting tools, software, and other applications such as Power BI. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Experience in project management of deliverables; with a focus on short and long term milestones.
