As a Material Handler at our local client you will be Maintains product and material flow, quality standards, and housekeeping objectives.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Responsible for material feed and delivery, including

• Responsible for packaging to or from machines

• Books parts for machines, transfers materials and products using INFOR system

• Maintains central loading system, loaders, tubing, and other associated equipment

• Ensures that all products are properly labeled

• Assists with machine setup, including tables, material documentation, labels, and word orders

• Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner

• Ensures information is exchanged during shift change

• Adheres to established policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations

• Notifies supervisor of product discrepancies, equipment malfunction, and/or personnel injuries

• Loads and unloads trucks as needed

• Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines

• Relieves machine operators and rework area operators for breaks as needed

  Qualifications for Material Handler include:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Forklift certification (or obtain within one week of hire date)

• Aerial lift certification (or obtain within one week of hire date

• Ability to read and write and speak English

• Basic Math skills

• Ability to draw and interpret graphs

• Must have problem solving skills

• Computer skills, Microsoft work, Excel

• Ability to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis

• Dependable transportation

• Team players with good work history and attendance
