SummaryWorking manager for the clinical informatics department. Supervises and has as direct reports associate, intermediate and senior health informatics specialists. Ensures that the team reaches the highest level of provider integration and adoption of Spectrum Health System's electronic medical record. Serves as a liaison between Spectrum Health System providers, information system leadership and clinical leadership. The position will support adoption and best practice use of the Electronic Medical Records in the organizations hospitals, outpatient surgical centers and physician practices. They will build positive working relationships with internal and external providers and practices to assist in increasing adoption of technology and clinical practice standards. Works in a highly collaborative team environment across clinical, quality, nursing, pharmacy and other disciplines. Key responsibilities include planning, creating, and implementing clinician adoption programs and ideas in collaboration with service line leaders. In addition this role will develop and implement clinical information systems change, communications of change, development of key performance indicators, and pro-active business intelligence solutions to assess outcomes of this work and physician engagement.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent In Business, Marketing, Healthcare or related field Required
3 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities Healthcare experience working with physicians as a consultant or educator Required
Background in change management and process improvement Required
Background in clinical informatics Required
Implementing electronic medical records, applications or process improvements around the electronic health record in an ambulatory or hospital setting Required
