Control Logic of Michigan Controls System Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Responsible for all aspects of service required to be the primary System Specialist on service accounts. Under minimal supervision, completes assigned duties including programming, inspection, testing, commissioning, and customer training. Customer interaction is essential to provide a thorough understanding of systems to recommend and plan for enhancements.Primary Job Responsibilities:ulliService, commission, and re-commission customer systems which utilize pneumatic/electrical/electronic technology./liliIdentifies customer issues and can escalate accordingly to ensure issues are resolved using the correct resources./liliComplete all required commissioning documentation. Maintains accurate As-Built drawing package and makes changes in Visio, Excel, Word, as required./liliCompletes paperwork on-time including timesheets, expense sheets, service ticket posting, and on-site documentation./liliResponsible for system checkout from controllers to sensors, loading software, interfacing with third-party systems, working with customer IT personnel, etc./liliResponsible for calibration of systems requiring basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals, and/or a laptop computer./liliPerforms static (stand-alone) and dynamic (total building interactive network) commissioning of software programming./liliPerforms site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system./liliResponsible for the setup of operator workstations with all associated software./liliResponsible for performing job database backups daily or as advised./liliAssists with turnover to service./liliCommunicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the worksite. Keeps customer informed on progress. Reviews customerrsquo;s systems and, if needed, points out areas of improvement and scope issues to the project manager. Keeps project manager(s) apprised of customer concerns and issues./liliAssist with afterhours service call, will be part of on call rotation./liliAdheres to safety standards. A high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety./liliMaintain a professional appearance at all times./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesulliMust have an understanding of systems software to write or recommend modifications to logic as needed./liliAble to create, download, and troubleshoot complex HVAC system logic using WebCTRL and associated software./liliCommunicates issues with the Supervisor on a timely basis./liliKnowledge of TCP/IP, Modbus, and BACnet networks, including but not limited to wireless technology, architectural layout, BBMD configuration, and troubleshooting./liliMust be well organized with good time management and communication skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment./liliAble to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience both written and verbally./liliAble to read and understand architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints and drawings./liliBasic experience with Microsoft software products to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, and other Windows products when required./liliPossesses an excellent understanding of the operation and control of mechanical equipment and its control sequences./liliPossesses excellent computer and networking skills to properly maintain a service laptop as well as experience in the commissioning of Ethernet and ARC Net communications./liliMaintains the customer with innovative and superior building automation systems and provides outstanding customer service./li/ul
