Marble Arms Administrative Assistant in Gladstone, Michigan

Come join a growing 128 year old gun accessory manufacturer in Gladstone, MI. Marble Arms is hiring an upbeat individual eager to learn and grow. The successful candidate will perform skilled clerical work, and provide general secretarial support to department administrators, along with working in our shipping department. The assistant will be responsible for assisting with departmental reporting, maintaining financial records and facilitating communication among company departments, customers, and suppliers. This position is ideal for someone who is motivated, dependable, has a high level of attention to detail, process oriented, able to prioritize work assignments as they come in, and capable of working without supervision. Normal schedule is Monday-Friday. Core Responsibilities: Administrative Assistant liGreet visitors and direct them to the appropriate departments or individuals/li liAnswering phone calls and redirect them when necessary/li liMonitor customer service email/li liAssist with accounting tasks like creating invoices, purchase orders, and sales orders/li liReceive and distribute mail and incoming supplies/li liMaintain general company record systems to uphold accurate files/li liGenerate weekly, and monthly reports/li /ul Shipping liOrder review prior to packaging/li liGenerating shipping documents/li liCustomer confirmations and notification/li /ul Required Skills: liProficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access (Bonus)/li liIntroductory level of Quick Books/li liExperience in bookkeeping and data processing preferred/li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills/li liHigh degree of multi-tasking and time management capability/li liFriendly and professional demeanor/li liFamiliarity with office organization and optimization techniques/li /ul
