McLaren Health Care Reg Nurse in Flint, Michigan

Department: CVCU

Shift: Days

Daily Work Times: 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours: 80

Position Summary:

Responsible for assessing physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient within assigned unit area and planning nursing care to meet those needs. Responsible to see that nursing care plans are carried out through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel. Conducts patient evaluation, performs documentation of patient progress, treatment planning and discharge functions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse.

  • Minimum of two years of experience required in a cardiac critical care unit, step down unit such as 12T, 6C, 4C, PACU, etc or in a cardiac cathlab or in an emergency department.

  • Current ACLS certification

  • Current BLS certification

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in pulling arterial lines or venous sheaths

  • Knowledge of Intra-aortic Balloon Pumps
