Job Description

In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting litigation across multiple divisions and business units of the company. You will report to the senior attorney responsible for litigation in North America. The position will require the ability to effectively manage numerous, diverse projects at the same time, particularly as it relates to electronic discovery and related issues. The candidate must be a self-starter and have an ability to effectively work with all levels within the organization. Key job responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in all aspects of management of litigation matters, including commercial, product liability, class action, and other matters.

  • Oversee paralegals and administrative staff in the Legal Department, and coordinate with business clients within Robert Bosch LLC and its affiliated companies concerning discovery.

  • Advise and consult on all aspects of electronic discovery, including drafting and negotiation of protocols and orders, management of issues related to preservation and collection of electronically-stored information, and management of review platform and litigation technology.

  • Actively manage outside counsel and e-discovery vendors.

  • Establish and monitor expense budgets.

  • Assist with data privacy and protection issues.

  • Some travel, both domestic and international, required


  • J.D. from a U.S. accredited law school

  • Member of Michigan bar in good standing.

  • 5+ years of experience as a practicing litigation attorney, with a focus on electronic discovery


  • 2+ years as an in-house counsel in a corporate environment, with a focus on management of litigation and electronic discovery

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
