EJ Foundry Process Intern in Elmira, Michigan
SUMMARY
The metallurgical engineering intern will work at our new East Jordan Foundry located in Warner Township, Michigan. This facility began production in November of 2018 and provides multiple opportunities for a student to receive hands-on problem-solving and engagement in the operations of a state-of-the art and technically driven iron foundry. The intern will participate on our engineering and quality teams on major projects addressing the microstructure of cast iron and providing physical property analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Process control improvement focusing on pour and melting processes in the foundry
- Melt charging process improvement

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
