Henry Ford Health System Data Base Specialist Full time - Center for Health Services in Detroit, Michigan

  • Under the direction of the Director-Clinical Engineering, the Data Base Specialist is responsible for maintaining, updating, supporting and developing reports for the medical equipment management data base (Phoenix Data Systems AIMS).

  • The Data Base Specialist is expected to interact regularly with other Clinical Engineering managers, technicians, corporate IT and with other system areas as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years related college coursework required.

  • Associate's Degree in related field preferred.

  • Three to five years experience in data base administration or demonstrated principle responsibility for overseeing a system database.

  • Advanced computer skills including experience in Microsoft Office products (Word, Access and Excel, etc).

  • Knowledge and skills to retrieve and manipulate data for input into a reporting format.

  • Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with the groups involved in the project internally and externally at various locations.
