What you’ll be able to do:
You will provide key software expertise for the Ford Diagnostic Service Platform (FDSP), a mission-critical application that drives leading-edge vehicle diagnostics, service and repair. You will support dealer technicians, plants, and independent repair shops around the globe via the client-based Global Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (GFDRS) that is part of Service Engineering Operations (SEO). You will:
Develop microservice-based application software using Pivotal Cloud Foundry & Spring Framework
Contribute to feature and user story development/backlog refinement as part of the team’s Agile methodology
Collaborate with other product teams on integrations, testing, and deployments
Implement automated testing tools and best practices to improve application testing capabilities
Supervise and evaluate solution performance
Support the production application and identify improvement opportunities
5+ years’ experience as a Java developer
3 or more years of experience in Java development using Spring, Spring Boot
3+ years of experience in Junit testing
Experience in cloud micro-services development (PCF, REST services, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
Outstanding abilities in troubleshooting application and performance issues
Experience in the use of Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.
Familiarity with GitHub or equivalent source control repositories
Experience with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins)
Knowledge of build tools (e.g., Gradle)
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Steadfast dedication to quality practices
Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Background with test-driven development/JUnit and pairing/mobbing practices
Expertise in developing and using automated testing solutions
