Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center (FQHC) is looking for a Dentist for Community Health Clinics in the Central and Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Dentist is responsible for delivery of quality dental care to patients of the Center and functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team within the scope of his/her dental practice.

Education, Training, Licensing and Credentialing
Required:
Dental degree (DDS) from an accredited dental school
Active unrestricted State of Michigan Dentist license
Must be registered and have current Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (DEA) and other such certificates to legally operate as a practitioner in the State of Michigan
Current Life Support certification
Experience and Skills
Required:
Knowledge of dental protocols, in general, and an ability to quickly gain specific knowledge of UGLFHC's current operational protocols
Ability to document, with clarity, all information relevant to a patient's needs
Ability to effectively present information in small group situations to patients, Center staff, and the general public
Knowledge of dental and medical terminology and appropriate acronyms
Ability to use office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, fax machines, telephones and copiers
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Preferred:
Knowledge of public health principles and practice
Experience working within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
Experience using eClinical Works (ECW) or other electronic health record (EHR) system
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
