Munson Healthcare LPN in Cadillac, Michigan

Graduate of a recognized and accredited Practical Nursing program with current Michigan license and in good standing with the State of Michigan Board of Nursing. Meets pharmacology requirements in accordance with Munson Medical Center’s general nursing policy. Current BCLS.

Experience in a hospital or physician office setting.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Must possess the ability to work independently while maintaining a team effort.

Able to prioritize multiple tasks and duties and maintain a calm professional manner in a busy office setting.


Receives direction from the office coordinator. Will also receive direction and supervision from the Operations Manager of Ambulatory Practices.

Infant (1 mo-1 hr) Adult (26 yrs-54 yrs)

Late childhood (6 yrs-12 yrs) Geriatric (65 yrs & above)

Performs job duties safely at all times, utilizing learned body mechanics and transferring/lifting techniques. Plans actions to promote safety. Reports any unsafe situation/equipment according to hospital procedure.

  • Responsible for maintaining patient flow in an efficient and timely manner by obtaining the patient’s history, obtaining and charting of vital signs and preparing the patient for the physician. May prepare patients for procedures and assist the physician during procedures. May perform phlebotomy and injections as needed. Participates in patient education activities.

  • Responsible for processing patient requests for medication refills. Performs phone triage with patient’s clinical concerns and refers questions to physicians when appropriate. Responsible for accurate documentation of nursing care, injections and phone calls.

  • Participates in a team fashion with completing of daily chart activities. Responsible for documentation of office laboratory procedures and controls. Participates in the review of medication and supply expiration dates. Participates in ongoing process improvement to maintain high quality patient care.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
