The Manager of Talent Development is a critical member of the Global Learning & Leadership Development COE. You will work closely with the Global Learning & Development Lead in defining solutions that meet the needs of our employees while ensuring alignment with the intended business outcomes. Job Description:

Partner closely with the L&D Lead and the Global COE team in developing innovative learning solutions that contribute to the goals of the organization and help Whirlpool Corporation’s employees achieve their full potential. The focus will be on delivery excellence and design innovations that meet the needs of the modern learner and incorporate the best of current and emerging design thinking, including beyond-the-classroom innovations, microlearning, and on-demand learning.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to work with HR Operations, Communications, Finance and other key partners to lead, contribute and/or oversee the following areas:

  • Strategic advisor: Serve as a credible and trusted advisor to stakeholders on effective and leading-edge learning and development strategies to achieve business goals

  • Needs assessment: Through data and analytics, aligned with business imperatives, determine key development needs to achieve desired outcomes

  • Solution design: Design innovative solutions to improve performance and engage the modern learner; appropriately leverage and manage internal and/or external resources, best practices, innovations and technologies

  • Collaboration: Actively partner with colleagues in the US and across the globe to ensure an optimized common curriculum and standards across the region

  • Program management: Oversee program delivery, including creating and monitoring work-plans and timelines, managing resources - both people and financial, and leveraging existing governance structures

  • Communications: Guide, develop and deliver creative communication campaigns to communicate value and engage learners

  • Operations: Manage end-to-end program operations including budget, program delivery, evaluation/feedback and measurement of business impact - reporting out to key stakeholders

  • Continuous improvement: Use evaluation data to measure impact and improve learning programs; continuously assess delivery process improvement opportunities. Challenge the status quo to drive improved outcomes

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University

  • 5+ years of HR and/or L&D experience (preferably in fast-paced, high growth corporate environment)

  • 1+ years of Instructional Design with experiencein E-Learning and Instructor Led Training (ILT)

  • 1+years of demonstrated experience developing, deploying, and sustaining enterprise-wide learning solutions across multiple regions

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA, Learning & Development, Organization Development, or related HR practice)

  • Demonstrated experience developing, deploying, and sustaining enterprise-wide learning solutions across multiple regions

  • Demonstrated ability to assess business needs through stakeholder needs analysis and develop solutions to meet those needs

  • Proven ability to evaluate learning effectiveness and make recommendations to adjust, as appropriate

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and present data-driven insights and trends

  • Proven ability to successfully develop long-term strategic partners and to hold them accountable to deliver best in class learning opportunities

  • In-depth understanding of learning delivery methodologies, selecting the most effective delivery mode

  • Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to synthesize information into clear, concise messages in a compelling manner to internal stakeholders
