Greater Lansing Food Bank Marketing & Communications Manager in Bath, Michigan

Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB) is seeking a professional to step into the position of marketing & communications manager to join our growing team. As a member of the administrative team, the marketing & communications manager is responsible for multi-channel communication strategy, content creation, the graphic designrint process, media relations and brand management. This manager will create strategies for awareness of GLFB’s mission, organizational and community initiatives, special events and fund development campaigns. Duties include overseeing brand management, media relations, communications, and marketing strategies across all media (print, web, email, social media, traditional media, direct marketing channels and emerging technologies) to reach GLFB’s external audiences including current and potential donors, clients and volunteers in the seven-county region we serve. Additionally, this position is responsible for making certain that the GLFB website is current and social media communications are timely, accurate and vibrant. The marketing & communications manager is expected to be engaged and active in the community and the marketingublic relations profession, continuing to build their own professional skills and knowledge. The manager will also work with leadership across the organization to develop new and creative approaches to better engage and connect with our partner agencies, members of the community who may need to access to food resources and communities throughoutour seven counties. The ideal candidate must be a hands-on team player with a positive attitude who is diligent, patient and flexible. Must also be a conceptual and strategic thinker who is an excellent writer and thrives in a highly-collaborative and fast-paced environment. Reporting to the director of philanthropy, this position also works with other directors of the organization to promote fundraising, special events, food bank services and other outreach. Candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the willingness to take initiative and be innovative. An aptitude to learn new duties and new communication techniques is a must.
