McLaren Health Care Mgr Clinic Operations II in Bad Axe, Michigan
Responsible for the coordination, organization and implementation of policies and procedures relating to patient care, business and the fiscal aspects for the satellite facilities. Maintains effective operations of 2-6 physician clinic locations.
Selects, trains/orients and assigns department staff (either directly or through subordinate supervisor). Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions to include disciplinary action. Typically has staff of more than 25, and responsibility to more than 10 physicians.
Develops department goals and objectives, and establishes and implements policies and procedures for department operation.
Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget. Annual budget is greater than $3.0 million.
Implements and maintains established policies, procedures, and objectives as well as quality assurance, environmental, and infection control policies.
Ensures that team leader’s maximize staff productivity through job assignments and cross training. Ensures that team leaders are properly trained and that their staff members are accurately cross-trained.
Conducts analysis of daily operations and statistical satellite reports in order to make adjustment to any anticipated or unexpected changes from acceptable variances.
Assists in developing fiscal twelve months projections of procedural/patient volumes, expense budgets, staff benefit cost analysis, capital equipment purchase projections, annual and long-term strategic plans and satellite business plans.
Analyzes and details monthly productivity analysis reports, determining physician procedural utilization patterns.
Directs maintenance of departmental facilities, equipment, supplies and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients and staff.
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
Participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities as directed; through identification of quality improvement opportunities, goal setting, collection and evaluation of data, implementation of action plans, or related applications.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
High school diploma.
Possess minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a medical setting.
Previous operations experience preferred.
Excellent problem solving/interpersonal skills.
Associates or bachelors degree preferred in business or health related field.
