GENERAL SUMMARY

Sr. Analyst of Corporate Development assists in seeking trends and signals both inside and outside the company for opportunities to grow the business and increase market share or identify threats that can challenge the company’s continued success. Assist with elaborating projections based on current trends and future expectations and sets the strategic goals for the company and identify the paths to fulfil these strategies (partnerships, acquisitions, or internal initiatives).

This position will require data gathering and processing from different sources: Capital IQ, GlobalData, DACIS – Infobase and others.

This position may have some interface within the Corporate Development, business units’ leadership, and external stakeholders (e.g., investment bankers) to gain insight from the external environment (e.g., technology, competitors, regulations, government budgets, etc.).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and Analyze industry leaders and competitors that meet the criteria established and qualify as M&A Targets. Strategize on new market entry strategies including approaches for different industries, target audiences, products, and lines of services.

  • Analyze market, industry, regulatory and technology trends and incorporate them into a comprehensive growth strategy that extends AM Generals capabilities and financial performance.

  • Develop company profiles with key data including financial relevant information.

  • Work with the rest of the Corporate Development & Strategy, Finance, and Business Units teams to drive new market expansion strategies as part of strategic supporting Financial Modelling (Business Cases) needs.

  • Support Discounted Cash Flows (DCF) and Leveraged Buyout (LBO) Financial Modeling to establish Enterprise Valuation, Financial Leverage and Transaction Pay Structures.

  • Review Confidential Information (Memorandums) and other materials to analyze the company gaining a comprehensive understanding of Business Operations and Financial performance.

  • Support Due Diligence Process Planning and Activity Tracking with functional teams.

  • After the completion of a transaction support Integration Process Planning and Tracking to ensure that the value milestones are met and are taking place timely.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in market research and analysis investment banking, strategic business.

  • Experience working in aerospace & defense, automotive or advanced technology sectors.

  • Effective communication skills for relaying complex concepts to a varied audience both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to interact with company personnel, build strong relationships at the organization and understands business imperatives.

  • Must have excellent quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to travel at approximately 15%

PHYSICAL EFFORTS

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.

  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and or move objects up to 25 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be able to physically support a manufacturing environment through evaluation of on the floor issue resolution and problem solving.

  • Extended hours to support increased production may be required on occasion

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routine uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and copy, fax and scanning machines.

TRAVEL

Occasional Travel will be required.
