Job Overview

Qualifications

The Functional Integration lead is responsible to guarantee technical integration and program execution coordination between Component / Systems and Program Management teams ensuring correct, robust and efficient implementation for all programs within the region under the candidate’s functional area and to assure alignment at the global level. This position will function as the single point to the main interface with vehicle program (Project chiefs) for all regional program activities.

Main tasks and areas of responsibility are:

  • To ensure efficient integration of technical information to the interface with the vehicle program (Project Chief)

  • To lead management team meetings for program & key issue resolution under candidate’s area

  • To guarantee global application of core engineering processes and to ensure global consistency of technical design execution practices

  • To drive global Lessons learned activities, to ensure global read-across and consistent global engineering solutions

  • To coordinate/assist during all the development phases KPI reporting (program readiness)

  • To support Component Specialists in executing DFMEA’s, DVP&Rs, PSI, performance standards – Define component and system test plans and review/sign-off on results for all program(s)

  • To manage standardization and consistent robust technical engineering execution across the regions

  • To identify and implement best global strategies for specific engineering core processes and design practices

  • Lead creation of Senior Management presentation decks as required, supported by the Global Engineering function

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer/Computer Science or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university

  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience

  • Experience in Vehicle Energy Management Systems or manufacturing energy systems components suppliers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university

  • DFSS Green Belt
