McLaren Health Care EMR Data Interface Architect in Auburn Hills, Michigan
Description
The EMR Data Interface Architect works with McLaren’s partner IT firms to design, develop and maintain McLaren’s standard and custom for EMR applications. Provides data integration solutions for EMR applications used across McLaren subsidiaries. As an Interface or Data Integration Architect, you will plan and oversee interface installation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Leads Cerner interface installation projects and provide tier 3 troubleshooting and issue resolution
Mentors and supports McLaren, IT, and partner firm associates in daily tasks and troubleshooting.
In addition, the architect will monitor interface project progress to assess and manage project risk and provide quality assurance while designing interfaces which align to project scope.
Takes part in all aspects of solution development including requirements gathering, feature design, implementation and deployment.
Works on larger projects and systems while assisting the more inexperienced analysts on smaller projects and systems.
Coordinates and performs work assignments in order to meet deadlines and ensures continued progress toward assignment completion.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a information technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Equivalency is Associate degree plus 5 years of experience working in either healthcare or as an IT analyst)
Minimum 10 years (15 years without Bachelor’s degree) information systems support experience in Cerner solutions
Minimum 5 years (10 years without Bachelor’s degree) of IT experience working with TCL , CCL, or equivalent SQL programming languages.
Minimum 10 years of experience working with at least one of HL7, Cloverleaf, Open Engine, Cerner FSI utilities and data architecture or other interface engines.
At least 5 years database work experience
At least 3-5 years of Data Transformation work experience
At least 3 years HL7, X12, IHE or comparable interface work experience
At least 5 years Linux command line work experience
Ability to travel to offices in all McLaren Regions. Travel will be kept to a minimum, unless additional resources are needed.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in a information technology field.
Certifications in Cloverleaf Level II or III, Project Management Professional (PMP) or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
