POSITION: Program Manager, Electric Propulsion


  • Deliver a Perfect Launch for Nexteer Electric Propulsion

  • Achieve Financial expectations from the AR – OI, IRR, Capital Spending

  • Provide effective leadership in executing the project and leading the team to achieve full PPAP on time and to achieve a Perfect launch

  • Utilize effectively theCustomerProgramImplementation process and tools when required. Major tools include: CPI Process Map, CPI Web System, Enterprise Reviews and Design Reviews. Make determination for when to bypass CPI process due irrelevance in areas that are not being traditionally developed.

  • Review & document project boundaries, objectives and deliverables (PDT1-2 BOM Risk Assessment and PDT1-3 Timing Workshop)

  • Prepare & lead project planning meetings (Project Timeline & CPI Web System)

  • Drive discipline & accountability in project plans

  • Prepare, manage, and lead risk management plans. Utilize the escalation process as appropriate to assure adherence to program imperatives.

  • Maintain program management trackers to accurately understand & communicate project status. This includes monthly Launch Review updates

  • Enter project data and plan into documentation systems

  • Coordinate/optimize/track cross-functional efforts to meet program imperatives

  • Lead with Sales the customer relationship for the project including the customer communication, coordination and issue resolution within the enterprise

  • Coordinate with functional groups to review project team member roles and responsibilities. Provide performance feedback as required.

  • Maintain appropriate program documentation to comply with TS requirements


Degree: Bachelors

Major: Engineering preferred

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Effective oral & written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Conflict resolution & risk escalation skills

  • Excellent leadership skills in a team environment

  • Experience with the product development process

  • Understanding of technical & commercial aspects of product line

  • Understanding of project management knowledge areas and skills

  • Computer competency in Microsoft Office and Project software

  • Willingness and ability to travel and conduct weekly phone meetings with China team.

  • Understanding of problem solving skills, including “5 Why Analysis Training”
