Qualified individuals will have strong engineering design experience related to heavy industrial industries, including power, oil, and gas. This person will build the civil engineering practice, helping support existing clients while building new client relationships in Michigan. Responsibilities may also include training and mentoring new employees. The work may involve short-term, out-of-town assignments. Minimum Qualifications ulliBachelor's degree in civil engineering/lili8-10 years of related work experience/liliProfessional Engineer (PE) certification, or ability to obtain within one year/liliFamiliarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software/liliStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills/liliWillingness to work in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative/liliProven project management experience/liliFlexible working style as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs/liliAcceptable driving record/liliLegal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship/li/ul Preferred Qualifications ulliMaster's degree in civil engineering/lili15 years of relevant work experience/liliKnowledge of Michigan's markets and regulations/liliExperience working in consulting engineering/liliStrong relationships with clients and the ability to develop or foster ongoing relationships and maintain a high level of client service/li/ul NOTE: Some work locations will feature the rough terrain typical of construction sites or require lifting or moving field testing equipment.
