The School of Public, Nonprofit & Health Administration (SPNHA) at Grand Valley State University invites applicants for an affiliate faculty/executive in residence position beginning August 2018.
Applicants should have a master’s degree in health administration or related field along with at least five years of senior management experience in a healthcare setting.
The field of specialization is open. The successful candidate must bring a demonstrable potential for excellence in graduate teaching and enthusiasm for community-based service. The selected candidate should be prepared to teach three graduate courses (hybrid and traditional modes) in both the fall and winter semesters. This position will act as the Faculty Advisor to the Health Professionals Graduate Student Alliance (HPGSA). The successful candidate will serve as liaison with healthcare industry stakeholders while building a strong internship network. The executive in residence will be an affiliate faculty member (non-voting for tenure) of SPNHA and part of the Master of Health Administration (MHA) Faculty Team. Based in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, the SPNHA has an MHA in candidacy for accreditation by the Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). It also has a Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration
(NASPAA) accredited Master of Public Administration program and Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Administration program, as well as a Public and Nonprofit Administration undergraduate program.
